Donald Trump, the former president of the United States, decided to quickly redesign all government websites with the .gov domain using artificial intelligence in order to improve the design of government websites and fix digital flaws; however, this project was not successful. In August of last year, he issued an executive order establishing an institution called the National Design Center (NDS), which operates directly under the president. This center aimed to provide better design language by updating the standards for U.S. government web design and reviewing 27,000 government sites within three years. However, due to budget cuts and the dissolution of previous technological entities such as the 18F technology unit and the restructuring of the U.S. Digital Service, this massive mission did not achieve the desired results because of team limitations and a short timeframe.
