Sam Altman, CEO of leading AI company OpenAI, is in talks with the Trump administration to potentially transfer 5% of the company's shares to the United States.
According to reports from sources close to OpenAI's management, these negotiations are in early stages, but Altman believes that giving a financial stake to the general public is the best way to share the profits from AI technology.
Donald Trump also agrees with this idea, and his administration is reviewing such agreements with several other companies active in the AI field, including Google and Meta.
