Google has introduced the Gemini 3.5 Transcribe model for AI-powered speech-to-text conversion.

Google today introduced a new model called Gemini 3.5 Transcribe; an AI‑based system that removes redundant audio fragments such as “um” and corrections, producing a clean, usable final text. This model is currently used in the “Rambler” feature of the Gboard keyboard on Pixel 11 phones and will soon be rolled out across all Google ecosystem services.

According to Google, Gemini 3.5 Transcribe is about 70 % faster than its predecessor, Chirp 3, and reduces the live speech error rate from 7.32 % to 5.5 %. While the improvement may seem modest, in everyday scenarios where users rely on voice input, fewer errors and higher speed can markedly enhance the user experience.
