The system, which uses the YOLOv7 detection model, has directly learned the market value from the results of several years of auctions.

The main goal of this project is to democratize expertise in the field of archaeology. Si Ki Woo, one of the researchers on the project, says that pricing and dating still heavily rely on expert judgment, a expertise that is not always available to young collectors or small museums. This AI aims to make cultural assessment more objective and accessible.
