However, achieving such a future requires significant advancements in building autonomous robots guided by powerful artificial intelligence. This challenging vision has encouraged many researchers to launch startups and attracted billion-dollar investments.
Matt Malchano, Vice President of Software at the well-known robotics company Boston Dynamics, says: "Fifteen years ago, our projects were solely focused on enabling a robot to move from one point to another, but now the meaning of autonomy encompasses a wide range of tasks that we envision robots being able to perform independently."
